tiger reserves in India

According to the 2008 cencus held by the government of india revealed that the tigers are left with a population of just 1411 and  we all know that now, there's need to save them. The government of India is doing their best to conserve the tigers.

In 1972 the government of India initiated  Project Tiger to protect the Bengal tigers. Project Tiger is a wildlife conservation movement. The project aims at conservation in specially constituted tiger reserves.

There are almost 38 Tiger Reserves in India which are governed by the Project Tiger and they have many plans for conservation of tigers.

In the 19th century, One estimate of the tiger in India by the government was placed the figure at 45000 but today there are only 1411 adult tigers in existence in India. These are obviously a few, but still there is a hope that the humans will understand there limits and will not interfere in the Forest life for any kind of Poaching and other illegal jobs.
